The Toyo Cork Kogyo Company, founded in 1920 in Hiroshima, Japan, used the name “Mazda” for its first three-wheeled truck, built in 1931. Company founder Jujiro Matsuda chose the word “Mazda” because it was the name of the Zoroastrian god of good and light. Work on a small sedan began in the late 1930s, but development was halted so the company could pitch in with Japan’s war effort.

By 1960, the first Mazda automobile – the R360 coupe – was developed, and the company’s foray into the production of passenger vehicles began in full force. Other landmark developments were soon to follow. Mazda began selling cars in the U.S. in 1970. In the early part of the decade, the automaker rolled out the RX-2. In 1979, the Ford Motor Company purchased a 25 percent stake in Mazda after the Japanese company encountered a number of financial difficulties.

The 1980s was a decade of rebirth for Mazda. The company officially took on the Mazda name (though all its vehicles since its launch in the ’20s have carried that brand). The 1990 model year saw the launch of a car that would prove a huge hit for Mazda: the MX-5 Miata. However, save for the Miata, the company’s vehicles experienced declining sales in the U.S., and the company’s fortunes suffered as a result.

The new millennium has seen Mazda regain its stride. The automaker has invested in new development, with impressive results. New models like the Mazda 3, Mazda 6 and RX-8 have broadened the company’s customer base and won over a whole new generation.

The latest Mazda model, the 2007 CX-9 is a seven passenger SUV. It incorporates an interior of sophisticated elegance with class leading space and unmatched versatility. It rides on the class’s longest wheelbase to provide easy access to its three row seating. The interior will impress all buyers with its space, utility, versatility and premium features. The car is powered by a 3.5 liter V6 engine, with 250 hp and approx. 240 lb-ft torque. This is paired with a standard six speed Sport A/T automatic transmission, which provides optimum acceleration. Also available are the front wheel drive or Mazda’s Active Torque Split all wheel drive system.

The 2007 CX-7 is a highly styled crossover SUV with the soul of a sports car. Produced entirely on Mazda derived platform, this five seater embodies an astute blend of sports car verve and SUV practicality. External features include prominent front fenders, A-pillars rooted at the body’s leading edge, a sharply raked windshield and Mazda’s signature five pointed grille. The CX-7 is fitted with a turbocharged and intercooled 2.3 liter four cylinder direct injection gasoline engine, producing 244 horse power and 258 lb-ft torque. It is equipped with a six speed Sport A/T automatic transmission with an optional manual mode and independent rear multi-link suspension with stabilizer bar. Other options offered include the Anti-lock Brake System with Electronic Brakeforce Distribution, the Dynamic Stability Control and traction Control System.

For 2007, the Mazda 6 Sports Sedan gets even better with a new trim grade structure, and added standard content that includes Anti-lock Brake System and Traction Control. This line up, be it the sleek Mazda 6 Sports Sedan or the functional mid size 5-Door or the versatile Mazda 6 Sport Wagon, suits every buyer’s needs and lifestyle. Some of the enhancements to this set for the model year 2007 are auto dimming inner mirror and Homelink standard on Grand Touring, and side air bags with side curtains.

The Mazda 3, the perfect sedan for an active lifestyle, has received many exterior changes for the 2007 model. European sophistication, high performance, advanced technology and best in class safety are the constituents that make Mazda 3 a leader in the compact sedan segment. This year sees the release of the Mazda 3 5-door, a sporty hatchback targeted to appeal to the youth. It is fitted with a 2.3 liter, 160 hp MZR engine, same as the one found in the Mazda 3 4-door, Mazda 5 and Mazda 6i. The Mazda 3 5-door comes standard with a sport package that includes stylish front and rear bumpers, side skirts, 17 inch alloy wheels, front fog lights and unique tail lights.

The Mazda RX8 redefined the sports car segment when it was launched in 2003. It continues the redefinition with an exterior suggesting athletic tension, a unique twin motor Renesis rotary engine and an interior offering comfort and practicality, in its 2007 model. The six speed Sport A/T automatic transmission equipped cars get a power boost to 212 hp with a similar six port intake system as used on manual transmission equipped cars. The 238 hp 6MT cars come with standard 18 inch wheels. Both vehicles are fitted with power windows, mirrors and door locks and cruise control.

The 2007 B series remains the rough and rugged compact pickup truck it always was. It is available with either of a 2.3 liter I-4, a 3.0 liter V6 or a 4.0 liter V6 engine. All versions are available with either a five speed manual or a five speed automatic transmission. Overall, the 2007 model remains largely the same as before.

There are affordable cars, and then there are cars that offer thrilling performance. Rarely do the two ever converge, but Japanese automaker Mazda has made it a tradition of coming up with vehicles that combine both of these eminently desirable traits.

Zoom, zoom, zoom… Do you remember the old Mazda RX-7 or the ever popular autocross champion Mazda Miata? Mazda cars have always focused on exhilarating performance, as it is in fact the hallmark of their brand. Mazda was actually the first to put the performance benefits of Wankel’s rotary engine to work in consumer production vehicles; now today the Renesis rotary engine which is found in the amazing new Mazda RX-8 has the title of International engine of the year.

With all of these choices, which is the best choice for you? Well to clearly identify that you need to take a trip down to your local Mazda shop and test drive a few, stop by Mazda parts and service to look over your choice of accessories, as once you have a Mazda you will have to make it your very own. There are so many ways to dress up and make your Mazda stand out in the crowd; it would truly be a shame not to take advantage of them.

Whether you are in Mazda USA, Mazda Canada, or Mazda Japan, you will find a high quality well performing vehicle for your needs. Unfortunately for you United States and Canada folks, you will have to take a backseat on the Mazda Bongo, which will be primarily sold in Japan. We’re talking kitchen units, fold out beds, and elevated roof for heightened adult comfort. Great comfort, decent economy, and a look that will bring you back to the days of tie dye and flowers in your hair, that is what is know as the Mazda Bongo.

Mazda is not all performance cars and hippy vans of course; in fact there is quite a line of classy family coupes and sedans that would great in just about anyone’s driveway. The Mazda Protege, also known as the Mazda 323 has been around since 1976 when it was first introduced as a rear wheel drive economy based compact. Built to last the Mazda Protege is not as of yet extinct, but has been promoted as the all new Mazda 3.

The all new Mazda 3 has a much roomier feel these days, and the engine choices will have you humming the entire way to work. They are all around great cars for everyone from your father to your teenager. The Mazda 3 is a definite winner. But if three is this good; you just have to wonder what the six could be.

The Mazda 626 came in around the same time as the 323, and was considered to be a moderately upscale compact with more flair and comfort than the 323. Just a few years later the Mazda 626 would be called Motor Trends import car of the year, and Mazda was definitely looking like they were going to be around for awhile. Now if a sport coupe was more to your liking then all you had to do was remove the last two numbers, and the Mazda 6 was the car for you.

The Mazda 6 was a rather nice performer compared to the previous 626, and could be woken up even more with its optional 2.2 liter turbo engine. Sold to the consumer at various trim levels the Mazda 6 definitely had a sporty feel; with a leather interior, 3-way adjustable suspension, ABS brakes, and electric sunroof the Mazda 6 was albeit not as sporty as the Mazda RX-7, but was definitely the next best thing. Now if ripping the streets is not your thing and an occasional romp through the trails is more your speed, then the Mazda tribute, which is actually based on the Mazda 626 platform, should be your weapon of choice.

The Mazda Tribute is a small crossover SUV, designed for the city folk with a country heart. With a four or six cylinder engine and firmer ride, the Tribute makes a great all around family transporter. But once again, Mazda did not quit here. Today’s buyer now has the option of the all new Mazda CX-7, which is considered to be “the SUV you never saw coming”. Sleek, Muscular, and performance car handling brings the CX-7 into the next millennium singing “Zoom, zoom, zoom” all the way to the grocery store!

About Mazda Motor Corporation

In addition to that, Mazda is also a well known producer of different types of vehicles and their parts.

The manufacturer’s name is derived from the transcendental God of Zoroastrianism, Ahura Mazda. In an effort to redefine the compact car category, Mazda created the Mazda 3 series, which offers performance, sophistication, safety, and reliability—all qualities that one would probably expect from a much more expensive European sport sedan. Hence, Mazda 3 delivers a driving experience far beyond the benefits projected by its price.

Mazda 3, known domestically in Japan as Axela, traces its roots to the year 2004 when Mazda Motor Corporation introduced the model, replacing the 323 (Familia in Japan). It received a rousing reception from virtually all markets. It was judged the “People’s Choice” car in a number of countries. In fact, Mazda 3 was Canada’s second best-selling car in 2006. In 2005, almost 340,000 exportable units of Mazda 3 were produced by the two largest Mazda facilities in Japan, one in Hiroshima and one in Hofu. An excellent set of Mazda 3 parts brings the Axela to the pedestal of the automotive industry. Included in the long list are the Mazda 3 performance parts, led by the top-of-the-range 2.0-liter petrol engine, controlled by Mazda’s Sequential Valve Timing (S-VT), a six-speed manual transmission and an electronic throttle – all of which provide superb acceleration, excellent fuel economy and minimal engine noise. Another Mazda 3 part that is important in ensuring that drivers and passengers get to enjoy a comfortable ride is the Cruise Controller which minimizes driver fatigue and discomfort on long journeys (standard on Sport).

Mazda 3 comes with a range of active safety features to help motorists cope with the unexpected. This includes the Mazda Advanced Impact Distribution and Absorption System (MAIDAS), Dynamic Stability Control (DSC) and Traction Control System (TCS) (standard on TS2 and Sport models). MAIDAS is designed to efficiently disperse impact energy in the event of a collision. The entire range of features helps protect all occupants from possible accidents on the road. Built around a unique triple H structure, it disperses impact energy across high rigidity body and resists deformation in all conceivable collision areas. Other Mazda 3 parts that make the Japanese compact car an instant looker are the clear-lens halogen headlamps, the newly designed 17-inch alloy wheels, angular fog lamps, redesigned wrap-around skirts, eye-catching front and rear bumpers, chrome front mesh grille, wide tail lamps, and the seatbelt reminder. Aside from these Mazda 3 parts, the car packs along ergonomic features found throughout the passenger cabin, with carefully selected materials that strike out a balance between good texture and form. All things considered, Mazda has, indeed, been able to make its mark in the global automotive scene with its Mazda 3.

Mazda is successfully building its dynamic image to every corner of Oman through innovative media choices, opening of new additional branches and service stations, and the applications of unique kinds of promotional schemes.

The 2010 Mazda 3 is no stranger to the automotive press with dozens of spy shots popping up over the past few months and speculative renderings coming from all around the world. Because the Mazda 3 is Mazda’s top selling vehicle in the U.S. it’s not hard to see why it is drawing in so much excitement surrounding its unveiling at the Los Angeles Auto Show in November.

The redesign couldn’t come up at a better time for Mazda when, even in the midst of a languishing economy, the Mazda 3 continues to be a hot seller among the ultra competitive compact car segment against the likes of the newly revised Honda Civic and Toyota Corolla.

Although nothing is set in stone (read: confirmed by Mazda) yet we have created a list of what to expect when the Mazda 3 is officially unveiled by Mazda:

First, the current 2.3 liter motor will be swapped out in favor of Mazda’s 2.5 liter currently in the 2009 Mazda6. This will bring power up to around 170 hp, from the current 150-156 hp of the Mazda 3 s-line and will offer both a six speed manual transmission and a five speed sport automatic transmission. The Mazda 3 i-line is expected to carryover its 2.0 liter engine and transmission options.

When it comes to design the 2010 Mazda 3 can best be described as evolutionary with a similar overall body profile and a few changes around the front and back. From the spy shots we can see styling cues borrowed from the new Mazda6 and up front, with flared wheel arches and an upwardly sculpted front bumper reminiscent of the recent Mazdaspeed RX-8 concept car.

Following the Mazda6’s march towards luxury car dominance, the upcoming Mazda 3 has been spotted with previously unseen luxury amenities in the compact car segment like integrated mirror turn signals, Mazda’s advanced keyless entry system with push button start, mp3 hard drive, and numerous steering wheel based controls.

These new features are in addition to the current Mazda 3’s options including HID headlights, auto rain sensing wipers, auto on/off headlights, Bose sound system with aux input, lighted vanities, auto down driver’s window, one-touch moonroof and power seat controls.

None of the new features listed above are set in stone (they were observed on what appeared to be a near final prototype model during testing) it is very likely that the features will remain and be available on the final retail product. The stage is set and Mazda will officially reveal the 2010 Mazda 3’s design at the Los Angeles Auto Show which runs between November 17th and 26th.

Mazda has been innovatively, strikingly and stimulatingly branding and marketing their products in Oman.

As you walk into any Mazda showroom, you will feel the lively spirit of the company. The rooms have fresh setting of attractive wall-to-wall posters and a totally renewed look. And to complete the refreshing ambience, staff uniforms, badges, silky new stands are well refined.

With the goal of targeting the audience and as a youth icon, Mazda assures that its presence and identity is felt in the center of youth destinations and hangouts. Gigantic Mazda posters will mesmerize you while walking out of the Muscat City Centre parking lot or coming out of Seeb International Airport and going towards the city. An especially designed Mazda poster will also be seen at the bowling alley at Al Masa Mall.

Mazda often puts the focus on the youth in whatever aspect.

Mazda again made a distinguishing appearance during the showings of the blockbuster Spiderman 3 at Al Shatti Plaza. Special posters were created where Mazda 3 cars were showcased. Inviting the moviegoers to take a view of the cars on display while they catch a show of the season’s biggest movie, Mazda wrote on the poster ‘3 – The best catch’.

By booking the whole theatre for its customers, Mazda had even organized an exclusive showing of the James Bond hit Casino Royale.

Mazda has made use of the radio as an important medium of imparting news about their models. Radio is a top choice for Mazda for announcement of different promotions, radio slots for giving away prizes or simply gaining attention for their ongoing promotions. As a matter of fact, during the promotion for Spiderman 3, Mazda gave out two tickets as prizes to those who correctly answered questions on air.

As regards road shows, Mazda has always been more than just a car manufacturer as it tries to be more peculiar. Earlier this year, it was the first car brand in Oman to have a Valentine’s Promotion, wherein a brilliant display of the snazziest red Mazda cars in Oman made the ambience spectacular. Mazda recently organized a series of popular road shows at different Lulu Hypermarket outlets all over Oman.

Based on its brand DNA, Mazda often comes forward for sponsorship of events that further emphasizes its qualities. Because of Mazda’s unique style, they became the exclusive presenters for the Power Walk event which was recently held. This one-of-a-kind event had corporate hot shots walk the ramp with their partners, exuding creations of Hemant Trivedi, a renowned Indian fashion designer.

Annurag Chawla, Mazda’s Brand Manager, said that a brand is the gathering and implementation of a comprehensive marketing program. And in this modern era, when competition is very stiff, one has to be above the rest to be recognized, appreciated and patronized. With this, she concluded that building brand identity needs creative thinking to stand out. She further said that their company’s philosophy is what they convert into their new branding and marketing strategies.

About Mazda Motor Corporation

In addition to that, Mazda is also a well known producer of different types of vehicles and their parts.
